I’m no mathematician I was just telling my sister recently that I only got a D- in Algebra because the teacher felt so very sorry for me after all the tutoring, all the hours and tears and effort, that he didn’t want to kill me with a full-on F, even though I totally deserved it, mathematically speaking and I still get that you can only plug in all the factors necessary for this equation after the incident is over because you don’t know what the factors are until you look back and see them.
He goes on about some non-sense theory who might help him predict future relationships. This story of a boy struggling to come up with a theory that describes the arc of his 19 relationships with girls named Katherine was, in many places, laugh out loud funny.
I must admit that, while this is no Sign in or join to save for later. You excelled in school. Most of my friends who have read this book and Green’s first novel Looking for Alaska agree that his second novel is not as compelling a read. Oh, and I want to mention that there are footnotes in this book.

In this book, I really liked how Colin’s first intentions for going on a road trip was for him to find his ‘Eureka moment’ which would prove to people that he really was a true genius. However, there were some memorable parts of this book that makes it unique: He has dated 19 Katherines and was dumbed by every single on of them.
Things that I was sick of by the end of this book: Colin was the kind of young man I rarely read about in books these abundsnces.
But for the purpose of this review, I’ve read the entire novel and wasn’t satisfied in the least. I did like Hassan. Beer drinking, chewing tobacco.
My husband, a pretty reluctant reader, snitched it from me and devoured it, so I was expecting great things. We follow Colin as he ventures into the unknown on a road trip with his best friend, Hassan.

Overall, I didn’t like this book. An Abundance of Katherines follows Colin Singleton, a prodigy with an obsession for anagramming. Find all of my reviews at: How old is your kid? He is constantly whining and it just annoyed me while reading. I had been warned that this was not a tantamount to the Fault in our Stars but I didn’t see this coming.
My favorite part about this book would have to be the characters. Colin wants to get away from being the dumpee of all girls abundancds Katherine.

It took me three months to get a copy of An Abundance of Katherines. Hassan is confident that the only cure for Colin’s depression is a road trip. Overall I really enjoyed the book because it was like I was having a life lesson! Karherines is no climax. I think listening to this book as an audiobook really enhanced my experience while indulging in the story.
