On the other hand Alhazred tends to be overly dry and serious. For my tastes, it was a bit light, seemingly written by a polite cannibal rather than a maddened necromancer, but a very nice addition to any Lovecraft fan’s library. Alhazred’s magical adventures lead him to the Arabian desert, the lost city of Irem, ruins of Babylon, lands of the Old Ones, and Damascus, where he encounters a variety of strange creatures and accrues necromantic secrets.
